Suzy’s Books is an invitation for authors and readers to share information about good books they have read. Some posts are written by the editor (Suzy’s Crew), and some are written by contributors.
A common question we often get asked is why do you offer everything for free? And it’s usually followed up with how do you make money?
So we’re creating this page to answer How is Suzy’s Books funded, and Why it matters to you!
Why is SUZYSBOOkS Free?
SUZYSBOOKS.COM is comprised of a group of writers, predominantly women. Some writers have been published by traditional publishers, and some have opted to publish independently. Whatever their publication choice, odds are that the task of promoting their books falls squarely on their own shoulders. Even with traditional publishers, after the glow of the initial release has worn off, authors are typically on their own.
Few of us in the writing field have huge databases of followers. We are, simply put, one-person businesses. We are often better at writing than promoting.
SUZYSBOOKS.COM aims to help us promote our own books, and other books that we really like. I have a small mail list, so does Donna and Iris and Juanita and Rose and Emily and just about every other writer I know. But put all together, we have a stronger reach. We use that reach to bring great books to you, the reader.
Our goal is simple: To help writers find their readers, and vice versa.
Simply put, I created SUZYSBOOKS.COM to offer writers what I wish I had when I first started out.
How Is SUZYSBOOKS.COM Funded?
Our goal is to bring our books to a wider audience, to sell books to some of those readers, and to make a bit of money. No, we don’t expect to get rich, and honestly, a lot of the work is done because we simply love books.

Some day we may charge for promoting on this site, but not for a while yet.
Question #1 – Will it Cost Me More Money?
No, absolutely not. Whether you buy a book by clicking on a link here, or go straight to the provider, like Amazon, it will cost you the same. There is no “fee” for using our links.
Question #2 – Do You See My Personal Details?
Nope. We don’t see any personal information i.e name, email, address, credit card, etc.
The only thing we see is that an anonymous user made a purchase on date/time and which product they bought.
How Can You, The Reader, Help Us?
If you are thinking of purchasing a book anyway, and see it here, we appreciate your using our link to buy it. It costs you no more, but it does help us.
If you would rather go to your local bookstore, we cheer you on. Honest!
